Described in 1837 by Lewis as "a handsome and newly erected lodge of the Marquess of Westmeath". The house was valued at £14 in the 1850s and was held by Lord Greville in fee. The buildings have disappeared by the time the 25-inch Ordnance Survey map was published in the 1890s.
